Matua ‘Lands & Legends’ ‘Paretai’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Apr-2014
Awatere fruit, machine-harvested and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.1 g/L RS. Brilliant, full and even, light lemon-yellow colour. This has a full and lively nose with lifted lime and green capsicum aromas that gently grow in volume, unfolding pungent passionfruit and savoury gooseberry nuances from bottle development. Dry and medium-bodied, sweet and luscious fruit flavours of passionfruit and fresh herbs fill the mouth. The palate is bright, refreshing and lively with excellent acidity, enhancing the fruit juiciness and succulence. The wine flows smoothly with a very fine textural thread and linearity, carrying the soft pungent flavours to a long finish. This is a bright and lively, smooth flowing, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean-inspired fare over the next 2 years. 18.0-/20 Apr 2014 RRP $27.99
