Massamier La Mignarde ‘Les Oliviers’ Coteaux de Peyriac 2013

Blended Red from France - Other
Review Date : 02-Apr-2015
Full, deep, black-red colour, near impenetrable. This has a bright, vibrantly ripe nose of aromatic dark red berry fruits, showing redcurrants, raspberries, plums and pepper, harmoniously entwined and building in intensity with aeration. Medium-full bodied and elegant in proportion, this has a finely concentrated heart of ripe currant, plum and raspberry fruit, along with pepper and earthy notes. The fruit has vitality with a well-balanced mouthfeel and structure, the tannin extraction fine in texture and the acidity enlivening the palate. The wine flows to a long, well-concentrated grainy finish. This is an elegant and balanced southern French red with concentrated flavours and lively structure. Match with barbecued and roasted red meats and Mediterranean fare over the next 5+ years. From Coteaux de Peyriac, Languedoc-Roussillon. 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carignan, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 10% Grenache fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged in vat. 17.5/20 Apr 2015 RRP $27.99
