Martinborough Vineyard ‘Te Tera’ Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 13-Oct-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, light on edge. The nose is softly restrained with yellow capsicum and pungent passionfruit aromas at the core, revealing fresh herbs and delicate, mouthwatering mineral notes. The aromatics are stylish in presentation. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, tightly bound flavours of capsicums, gooseberries and passionfruit form a tight line. The palate has light, grainy phenolics and chalky, mineral elements entwined with firm acidity providing drive and a dry-textured mouthfeel. Aromatic, sweet herb nuances emerge and are lifted by the acidity and the wine is carried to a lively and vibrant, lingering finish. This is an elegant and taut, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with a firm linearity. Match with seafood and herb-marinated white meat dishes over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from younger vineyards, hand-picked and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Oct 2014 RRP $18.00
