Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. This has a finely proportioned nose with deep and rich aromas of ripe passionfruit intermixed with fresh herbal notes and some steely white stonefruit and mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly presented with finely concentrated flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruit and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is refreshing and is guided by a fine-textured phenolic line, and enlivened by brisk, lacy acidity. The palate unfolds herb and mineral elements as it flows, leading to a tight, dry and long, mouthwatering finish of passionfruit. This is a finely concentrated, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with thirst-quenching, lacy acidity and a subtly-textured line. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Martinborough Terrace, cool-fermented in stainless-steel and neutral oak to 13.0% alc. and 1.6 g/L RS, 5% of the wine matured in French oak. 17.5+/20 Oct 2016 RRP $23.00
