Martin Codax Alba Martin Albarino 2022, Rias Baixas

Albarino from Spain
Review Date : 22-Feb-2024
Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is delicate and pure, with aromas of stonefruit, guava, minerals and a hint of floral. Medium-bodied, aromas of peach and nectarine melded with guava, lemon sherbet and blossoms. The refined and chalky mouthfeel adorned the expressive, ripe fruit; crunchy acidity drives with carries to linearity. This Albarino shows the purity of ripe stonefruit, crisp acidity and a mineral-textured mouthfeel, lending a refreshing, persistent finish. Match with seafood over the next 3+ years. 100% Albarino, fermented in stainless steel to 13% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Feb 2024 RRP $34.99
