Marques de Tezona Vino de la Tierra Castilla Tempranillo 2015

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 13-Jan-2017
Moderately deep ruby-red colour with black-purple hues, lighter edged. This has a well-bound nose with moderately intense aromas of dark-red berry fruits melded with herb and nutty elements, unfolding hints of minerals. Medium-bodied, the palate is fine in concentration with flavours of dark-red berry fruit entwined with herb and nutty notes. The flavours grow in depth and the mouthfeel provides a fine-textured guiding line with light tannins and underlying acidity. The wine leads to a bright, lively finish with good length of red berry and herb flavours. This is an elegantly concentrated Tempranillo with dark-red berry, nutty and herb flavours, and a fresh, fine line. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 3 years. Hand-picked fruit, 95% Tempranillo and 5% Syrah, predominantly bush vines 15-25 y.o. in Castilla La Mancha, fermented to 13.5% alc. Winemaker: Jorge Garcia Cuenca. 17.0+/20 Jan 2017 RRP $20.00
