Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, very pale on rim. The bouquet is fresh, tightly concentrated and penetrating with an amalgam of pungent passionfruit and gooseberry aromas, lifted with subtle tropical fruit elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, tight and intense flavours of passionfruit are entwined with layers of herbs and minerals. The mouthfeel is rounded with fine textures and soft acidity, but showing good depth and density of fruit weight. The flavours are rich and pungent, revealing a lusciousness and juiciness, balanced and enlivened by lacy acidity on the finish. This is an intensely rich, lush and pungent Sauvignon Blanc with a soft mouthfeel and lacy acidity. Serve with vegetables and salads, and with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years.
