Marion-Bosser Champagne Premier Cru Millesime 2008

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 26-Nov-2018
Full, even light golden-hued yellow colour, a little paler on the edge, the bubbles moderately fine and very persistent. The bouquet is very elegant and refined in presentation with intense aromas of white stonefruits and white and yellow florals along with a complex amalgam of bready-yeasty autolysis and delicate nuances of secondary aldehydic detail just beginning to emerge. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant in proportion with finely concentrated and intense flavours of white and yellow stonefruits with floral lift, and refined bready-yeasty autolysis. Very subtle aldehyde detail adds to the complexity. The mouthfeel is creamy and lush with gentle mousse, and the wine flows smoothly along a seamless line with poised acidity providing energy. The wine carries to a refined, sustained finish of stonefruits and yeast. This is an elegant, finely concentrated Vintage Champagne with beautifully balanced stonefruit and bready autolysis o a seamless palate. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 3-4 years. A blend of 50% each Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, fermented to 12.5% alc. with 8 g/L dosage, the wine aged 5 years on lees in bottle. Lot LB91641P. 18.5+/20 Nov 2018 RRP $78.95
