Margrain Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Feb-2014
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with green hues. The bouquet is tightly packed with soft passionfruit aromas melded with grass and herb notes, the density lightened by some lifted esters. Dry to taste, softly full and gently unfolding flavours of ripe and sweet passionfruit flow on the palate. Subtle layers of tropical fruits, gooseberries and grass add interest. The mouthfeel is soft from rounded acidity and a light, textured line carries the flavours to a dry finish. This is a softly packed Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit flavours and a dry finish. Serve with Mediterranean fare, salads and vegetables and creamy cheeses over the next 2 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc. and 8 g/L RS, made in an off-dry style and bottled with some CO2. 17.5/20 Feb 2014 RRP $24.00
