Margrain Martinborough Pinot Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 23-Sep-2015
Pale peach-red colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is full with fresh aromas of strawberries, and raspberries and cream, interwoven with notes of cranberries and pomegranate. The fruit is rich and vibrant, unfolding gentle confectionary elements in the glass. Medium-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, full and up-front, rich fruit flavours of raspberries and cream, red stonefruits fill the mouth with a rounded presence and core. Some fruit pastille elements lift the flavours. The fruit is underlined by a fine, dry, phenolic thread and mouthwatering acidity that provides energy, enhancing the fruit sweetness. The flavours carry through to a full, raspberry and cream fruited finish. This is a full, up-front, rich, raspberry and cream fruited medium-dry rosé. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir, given 16 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Sep 2015 RRP $24.00
