Margrain Martinborough Pinot Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Feb-2014
Made by the saignee method, bleeding off free-run juice from fermenting Pinot Noir after 24 hours, fermented to 13.6% alc. and 10.6 g/L RS. Bright pink-red colour with some depth. The nose is fresh and penetrating with finely presented aromas of raspberry and cherry fruit with a suggestion of strawberry bon-bons and mouthwatering watermelon notes. Off-dry to taste, bright, juicy, lusciously refreshing flavours of raspberries and cherries are lifted by fragrant red floral and confectionary elements. The palate is fine-featured and the mouthfeel refined with bright, fresh acidity that lends a raciness and zestiness. The flavours flow with energy to a thirst-quenching, dry, refined and lingering finish. This is a deliciously juicy and refreshing rosé with raspberry and cherry flavours. Serve al fresco over the next 18 months – 2 years. 18.5/20 Feb 2014 RRP $24.00
