Margrain ‘Home Block’ Martinborough Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 06-Feb-2011
Just released. This is based on Abel, 5, 10/5 and a little Dijon clone material, with only a very little whole bunch, fermented to an elegant 13.5% alc. And elegance is what this is all about. Primary dark red berry fruits, still tightly bound, yet the depth of fruit and concentration was obvious. Beautifully fine tannin extraction completed this wine. It will live 7-9 years. It is worth seeking out.  Nov 2010
