Marc Bredif ‘Classic’ Vouvray 2010

Chenin Blanc from France - Loire
Review Date : 09-Oct-2012
Very pale straw with green hues. This has a very fine, tightly bound nose with intense and piercing aromas, quite classical with lovely purity, showing white florals, stonefruit and citrus with some herb notes. Off-dry to taste, the palate is packed with flavours of apples and yellow stonefruits along with some reductive flintiness, well-integrated and harmonious. The mouthfeel is soft and the underlying acidity is discreet. This has liveliness, a little spritz detected, and the palate shows purity and drive. A textbook Loire Chenin Blanc that will keep 4-6 years. 13.0% alc. and >10 g/L rs, aged on lees 9 months. 18.5/20 Oct 2012
