Map Maker Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-May-2015
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, lighter edged. The nose is fresh with bright and deep fruit aromas of passionfruit and tropical fruits interwoven with cut grass and mouthwatering, chalky, mineral notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly rich fruit flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries are melded with herbal elements. The fruit is fresh and bright, and flows smoothly with harmonious, slippery acidity underlining the palate. The wine follows a very fine-textured line that carries to a minerally, chalky, dry finish. This is a softly rich, smooth and slippery, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a very fine chalky line. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Estate fruit fermented with indigenous and cultured yeasts to 13.3% anc. and <1 g/L RS. 17.5/20 May 2015 RRP $18.00
