Map Maker Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Jan-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, light on rim. The bouquet is very aromatic with ethereal white florals, fresh herbs, gooseberries and mineral notes that grow in intensity in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a harmoniously integrated array of flavours of gooseberries, flowers and herbs The fruit is juicy and succulent and flows seamlessly across the palate, the mouthfeel smooth with balanced acid freshness. This has good energy which carries the flavours to a moderately long, dry and crisp finish. This is a smooth-flowing, seamlyly textured Sauvignon Blanc with aromatic fruit expression. Serve with seafood, poultry and fine Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from different estate blocks, fermented, partially with indigenous yeasts to 13.4% alc. and 2.6 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Jan 2014 RRP $18.00
