Maori Point ‘Single Vineyard’ Central Otago Pinot Noir Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 20-Aug-2018
Bright, light cerise-pink with purple hues and some depth, paler edged. The nose is very fresh, bright and vibrant with well-concentrated aromas of cherries and raspberry fruit, fragrant red florals and a suggestion of confectionary entwined with fresh herbs. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has intense and penetrating flavours of cherries, raspberries, lifted red florals and raspberry fruit pastilles, forming a taut core and line. The flavours are rich, and are balanced by fresh, mouthwatering acidity a fine phenolic textures that carry the wine to a long, lingering finish. This is a bright, vibrant and intense dry rosé with rich flavours of cherries and raspberries with floral and confectionary nuances, on a fine-textured, thirst-quenching palate. Match with antipasto and tapas, and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit, primarily clones 777 and 10/5, fully destemmed and crushed, the juice given 20 hours skin contact and fermented in stainless-steel to 13.3% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 300 cases made. 18.5/20 Aug 2018 RRP $26.50
