Manu Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Jun-2020
Bright, pale yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is clean with lifted florals of elderflower; tropical notes of green mango and lime melded with some herbaceous nuances of fresh-cut grass and a spoonful of honey. The palate is soft, fresh with controlled yet lovely concentration of citrus and green mango; medium-light bodies fragrant florals with fresh herbs finished with a touch of honey and prickly spices. The wine is smooth with a subtle wet stone mineral texture, acid is soft and round leaves a clean and fluid impression. This is a pleasing Sauvignon Blanc, classic Marlborough approach; bearing the freshness of citrus and green mango, melded elderflower, fresh herbs and honey nuances boosted by some charming spices. Serve with clams and mussels over the next 3 years. Fruit from 14 different vineyards in Wairau and Awatere Valleys, fermented to 13% alc. 17.5/20pts June2020 RRP$17.99
