Manu Pinot Noir 2017, Marlborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Jun-2020
Bright, light ruby-red with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose has depth, showing savoury, gamey characters; deep florals melded with dark cherries, blackberries. The palate is smooth with the extent of the dark cherry and blackberry fruit notes, underlying a rich layer of herbs and liquorice; fresh acidity adds another dimension of flavour forming a medium-bodied wine, presenting some chalky minerality. The finish is poise with the support of delicate spices. This Pinot Noir has the richness of dark cherries, and blackberries melded with deep florals and liquorice; exhibiting the development of the gamey and savoury nuances; an enticing texture of smooth and silky tannin with chalky minerality. Complex and appealing. Serve with game fare over the next 5 years. 13.3% alc. 18/20pts June 2020 RRP$24.99
