Mansion House Bay Marlborough Chardonnay 2014

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Mar-2015
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour. The nose is light and fresh with aromas of yellow stonefruits with subtle citrus fruit interwoven with mineral nuances, combining nutty oak and refreshing steely elements and some lemon curd and creamy MLF-like hints. Dry to taste and medium bodied, the flavours of citrus fruit and yellow stonefruits are fresh and uncomplicated. Some nutty and creamy nuances are balanced by soft acidity, lending a rounded mouthfeel. Fine textures carry the wine to a creamy, nutty, dry finish. This is a creamy, light Chardonnay with fresh citrus and stonefruit flavours. Match with seafood, poultry and pork over the next 3 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 8 months in French and American oak. 16.5/20 Mar 2015 RRP $21.99
