Manawa Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Dec-2011
Marlborough fruit managed by the estate and cool-fermented to 14.0% alc., and 3.0 g/L rs. The wine was given lees contact. Bright, even, straw-yellow colour, pale on rim, this has a soft, full and voluminous bouquet of ripe, yellow stonefruits with secondary bean development and hints of smoke and flint. Dry to taste, this is softly integrated with a rounded mouthfeel of evenly presented ripe gooseberry, nectarine and herbal fruit flavours. Savoury bean notes and a lush openness show the maturity of the wine. The palate still has zesty acidity which carries through to a mellow and gentle yellow stonefruit nuanced finish. Drink this with creamy pasta and vegetable dishes over the next 12 months. 16.0-/20 Dec 2011 RRP $17.95
