Maison Roche de Bellene Volnay 1er ‘Mitans’ 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 24-Mar-2012
Light ruby-red in colour pale on edge with some purple. This has a soft, even bouquet with gentle red floral perfumes along with dark berry fruit and spicy oak nuances, the fruit with cooler, stalky elements. Elegant in size, the fruit is aromatic in style, red berry fruits and dried herbs, the textures supple and building in tannin grip. The wine is still fresh, the acidity bright and in balance, and the wine finishes dry and firm. This fragrant, but structured wine will develop over the next 6-7+ years.  18.0/20  Mar 2012  RRP $96.00
