Main Divide Waipara Valley Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 30-Mar-2012
Brilliant straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. This is softly full and quite up-front on bouquet, with aromas of yellow florals, lime and lemon zest, honey and exotic jasmine perfumes. Medium in sweetness, the flavours of citrus and tropical fruits, honey and spices are mouthfilling, the palate with a slight prickle of liveliness and brisk acidity. The freshness of the wine gives vitality to the open, soft textures. Fulsome flavours of florals and honey are the feature, and are carried on a long, dryish and concentrated finish. Waipara Valley fruit cool-fermented to 11.5% and 29.3 g/L rs. This is an open and flavoursome, crowd-pleasing Riesling with honey and jasmine flavours that will cellar another 3-5 years. Serve with spicy Middle Eastern and Asian foods. 18.0+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $19.95
