Main Divide ‘Tehau Reserve’ Waipara Pinot Noir 2008

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 11-Mar-2011
From clay soils, with a small whole-bunch portion fermented to 14.0% alc., and aged 18 months in barrel. Very deep, dark ruby red with youthful purple hues, this has a tight, shy bouquet of dark red berry and cherry fruits. However much more expressive on palate; dark red and black berry fruits with violetty florals, the faintest compote note, fine, firm tannins for elegance and moderate grip through the line and length. Drink with spicy Asian duck dishes over the next 4-5+ years.  Mar 2011
