Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 10-Oct-2023
Bright, even, very pale yellow. The nose is gently refreshing, with aromas of gooseberry, melon, orchard fruit, elderflower and herbs. Medium-light bodied, aromas of gooseberry, lime, apple and melon have a taut core, entwined with elderflower and basil. The fruit is sweet and clean, elevated by a hint of saline; zingy acidity carries the sweet fruit and zesty mineral elements to a crisp finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is packed with flavours, texture and tangy acidity. Match with whitebait patties and steamed clams over the next 3 years. Fruit was sourced from Home Block and Te Hau on Georges Road, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Oct 2023 RRP $21.99
