Main Divide Rose 2020, North Canterbury

Rosé from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 09-Feb-2021
Bright, pale blonde with a hint of salmon, even colour throughout. Light effervescent on the side of the glass. The nose is expressive and welcoming, aromas of rose petals, dark herbs melded with field berries, citrus and zest. Light-bodied, dry to taste, nuances of strawberries, raspberries, red currants are fresh, linger with a lifted perfume of petals, thyme and citrus zest. Concentrated fruit and ripe flavours project on the palate with intensity; lively acidity flow with a fine thread of minerality along a fine-textured line. Zesty details lifted to a vibrant, dry finish. Match with salmon gravlax and prosciutto-wrapped melon over the next 2-3 years. A small amount of skin contact, fermented in stainless steel to 12.5% alc, 4 g/l RS. 18-/20 pts (90 pts) Feb 2021 RRP $20.99
