Main Divide North Canterbury Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 08-Aug-2018
Bright, very pale peach-pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh and elegant in expression with aromas of strawberries and red florals, with a suggestion of fresh herbs, along with a very subtle amalgam of confectionary and minerals. This is clean and thirst-quenching. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is taut and mouthwatering with crisp, zesty acidity and delicate flavours of strawberries, pale red florals and minerals. The fruit forms a fine-textured line and flows with good vitality to a crisp, refreshing, delicately nuanced finish. This is a refreshing and thirst-quenching dry rosé with delicate strawberry, floral and mineral flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés, and antipasto over the next 2 years. North Canterbury fruit, a blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, free run juice given a small duration of skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Aug 2018 RRP $20.99
