Lynfer Estate Wairarapa Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 15-Nov-2014
Pale pink colour with very light youthful purple hues, lighter edged. This has an elegant and finely concentrated nose of red florals and strawberries and cream, lifted with nuances of confectionary and fermentation esters. Off-dry to taste, a tight core of strawberry and cream fruit flavours is intermixed with quince and fruit pastille notes. The palate is softly textured with some richness, and flows smoothly. This is well-balanced, the mouthfeel showing fine phenolics and fresh, lively acidity leading the wine to a moderately long finish with bitter cherry and quince notes. This is a light, smooth-flowing, off-dry rosé with delicate strawberry and cream flavours. Serve as an aperitif, antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit given overnight skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.6% alc. and 7.8 g/L RS. 16.0/20 Nov 2014 RRP $21.00
