Lynfer Estate Wairarapa Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 21-Oct-2013
Hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit given overnight skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.1% alc. and 5.6 g/L RS. Bright salmon-pink colour with ‘eye of the partridge’ hues, lighter on rim. The bouquet is delicate and fresh with aromas of strawberries, red florals, raspberries and herbs, building in depth, revealing some savoury elements. Dryish to taste, soft, savoury strawberry fruit flavours show with some resinous nuances, the palate with a firm core. The mouthfeel suggests lusciousness, but is balanced by crisp, mouthwatering acidity, and the flavours flow smoothly to a light, crisp and refreshing finish with light savoury elements. This is a soft and gently refreshing rosé with lush, delicate, savoury strawberry flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with charcuterie over the next 18 months. 16.0+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $21.00
