Lynfer Estate Wairarapa Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Apr-2011
Fruit from 6 y.o. vines, 777 clone, fermented to 13.9% alc. and given light oak treatment. Medium deep ruby red with a pale edge to the colour, this has a fresh, pure, fragrant nose of red berry and cherry fruit along with hints of savoury herbs and a confectionary lift. Medium weighted, this shows bright, sufficiently ripened, uncomplicated raspberry and cherry fruit flavours with some sweetness and richness on the palate. The moderate extraction provides a soft texture and gentleness for immediate accessibility for fresh, vibrant drinking with poultry and pork, as well as salmon and tuna over the next 3-4 years. 17.0-/20 Apr 2011 RRP $26.00
