Lynfer Estate Wairarapa Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 03-Mar-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a blush and a light edge. The nose is soft and gently up-front with good volume of fragrant yellow stonefruit aromas entwined with florals, pears and honeysuckle. The nose builds in depth with aeration. Dryish to taste and medium bodied, the fruit flavours of pears, stonefruits and yellow florals are bright and enriched by honeysuckle detail. The mouthfeel is enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity and the fine palate core follows a subtle phenolic line. The flavours recede as the wine carries to a light, clean, dry finish. This is a light, up-front dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit and floral flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 2 years. Fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.83% alc. and 4.71 g/L RS., the wine aged on lees. 16.0/20 Mar 2016 RRP $21.00
