Lynfer Estate Wairarapa Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 30-Apr-2014
Bright, very pale straw-yellow, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh with tight and slender, straightforward aromas of white and yellow stonefruits, minerals and hints of honeysuckle, lifted by youthful esters. Off-dry to taste and light-bodied, clean and fresh, gently succulent white stonefruit and riper yellow fruit flavours are enhanced by subtle honeysuckle notes. The mouthfeel features crisp acidity and a fine textural thread balancing the fruit and carrying the palate to a light, dry finish. This is a light, delicate dryish Pinot Gris with subtle honeysuckle notes. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.44% alc. and 5.93 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 15.5/20 Apr 2014 RRP $21.00
