Lowburn Ferry Home Block Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 28-Sep-2023
Medium ruby-red, slightly lighter on edge. It has a powerful bouquet with red cherry, plum, thyme, oregano aromas, a hint of game and sweet spices. Medium-full bodied, nuances of cherry and plum intertwined with thyme, oregano, violet, hint of game, cinnamon, liquorice and anise. The fruit is ripe with good balance and depth; it integrates harmoniously with bright acidity. Fine-grained tannin extraction is scented with black tea and violet fragrance provides fine structure and layers. This is an enticing Pinot Noir with beautiful aromatics, vitality and a harmonious flow. Ready to drink, but will benefit from cellaring. Match with roasted pigeon and smoked duck over the next 10 years.
