Rosé from New Zealand - Gisborne
Review Date : 31-Jan-2023
Bright, pale salmon with depth, even colour throughout. The nose is full, with perfumed aromas of ripe peach and nectarine melded with cherry, rose petals and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of ripe peach, nectarine and cherry interweave rose petals, a hint of black pepper, and citrus peels linger to a refreshing finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and round, supported by balanced acidity. This is a generous Pinot Noir Rosé with ripe fruit and zesty spice on a textural palate. Serve as an aperitif or match with smoked salmon. Fruit from Ormond Valley, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc, aged on lees, lees stirred every 2 weeks, underwent MLF. Organic certified. 17/20 pts (85 pts) Jan 2023 RRP $25
