Louis Sipp Alsace Grand Cru Pinot Gris ‘Kirchberg de Ribeauville’ 2007

Pinot Gris from France - Alsace
Review Date : 07-Mar-2014
Bright, even green-gold with lemon-yellow hues to the colour. This has a full, soft and densely packed bouquet with a harmonious amalgam of white and yellow stonefruits, honey, minerals and flint, with an overlay of salty nuances. Medium-medium dry in richness, the body, weight and presence is the feature on palate. The fruit flavours of stonefruits and honey show great drive, revealing saline and mineral elements. The sweetness is integral with the phenolic textures and good fruit extract is apparent. Soft acidity adds to the succulence which carries through to a long and sustained finish. This is a rich, succulent Pinot Gris with fruit depth and weight. 6-7 years. 13.0% alc. 18.5+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $56.00
