Louis Jadot Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 1999

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 29-Apr-2012
A ‘Domaine Louis Jadot' wine. Full, light garnet-red colour with orange and brick on edge. This has a full, solid and dense bouquet with plenty of savoury red fruits unfolding complexing notes of brown spices, earth and undergrowth, some meaty elements, along with spicy oak lift. Fullish bodied, this is full of flavour, showing warm secondary earthy red fruits, brown spices and mushrooms. This has good sweetness and liveliness, with good acidity. The palate is supported by plenty of tannin presence, the textures just beginning to soften, the extract forming a good body and line, leading to a sturdy, long finish. This is showing maturity, but the fruit vitality and structure will continue to hold for another 5-8 years, but may not develop more in complexity. 18.0+/20 Apr 2012 RRP $N/A
