Lost Garden Chardonnay 2019, Hawkes Bay

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 08-Jun-2020
Bright, even medium yellow with a tinge of green-gold. The nose is softly full and uncomplicated with aromas of tropical rockmelon, tinned yellow peaches along with notes of nutty oak and vanilla spice elements. The aromatics are upfront and brisk. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, youthful and fresh with a moderate intensity of rockmelon, yellow peach, revealing some nutty oak and grippy phenolic. Brisk and lively acidity enlivens the fruit and mouthfeel. The wine unfolds little spicy details with a hint of lemon sherbet, which carries to a clean and crisp dry finish. This is an upfront and bright Chardonnay, gives tropical melon, stonefruit with subtle vanilla spice and oak details and a grippy textured, dry finish. Match with poultry over the next 2years. Fermented to 13% alc. 16/20pts June 2020 RRP$29.95
