Lil Rippa Glasnevin Gravels Waipara Rosé 2012

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 09-Nov-2012
100% Pinot Noir fruit, made by the saignée method, with a small portion of red wine added for colour. 13.5% alc. and 6 g/L rs. Pale pink colour with slight purple hues on rim. The nose is light and soft with straightforward aromas of strawberries and watermelons with a little mineral reduction adding savoury, red floral interest. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, restrained fruit flavours of strawberries, peaches and cream, watermelon and subtle notes of confectionary show with a little succulence and sweetness. Zingy acidity enlivens the mouthfeel and carries the flavours to a dry, finely textural finish with raspberry and minerally notes. This is a dry, gentle-fruited rosé with good body. Serve with charcuterie and first course in the lunchtime or afternoon sun over the next 2 years. 16.5-/20 Nov 2012 RRP $18.99
