Lil Rippa Awatere Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Mar-2011
Very pale straw colour with green hues, this has a full, rich bouquet of pungent passionfruit, showing ripeness and depth in excellent fashion. Dry to taste, the passionfruit and minerally flavours speak of the Awatere Valley in a good vintage, the clean, fresh fruit being quite lush and juicy. The palate has good line, with a little textural grip, with bracing acidity carrying through to the finish. Made from fruit 80% from the Dashwood region and 20% from near Taylors Pass. Cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. Match with seafood, salads, vegetables and Pacific Rim cuisine over the next 2-3+ years. 16.5+/20 Mar 2011 RRP $16.99
