Deep ruby-red with a deep purple hue, lighter edged. This has a gentle bouquet, elegantly presented with aromas of blackberries, blueberries underlying plums with a hint of floral and sweet spice. Medium-full bodied, nuances of blackberries, blueberries lengthen and are enriched by black liquorice, violet followed by cinnamon and vanilla. The mouthfeel is dry with smooth-grained tannin extraction supported by balanced acidity to a moderately long finish. Match with lamb tagine and paprika chicken over the next 3 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc, extended post-fermented maceration, a portion aged in oak. 18-/20 pts (90 pts) Apr 2022 RRP $25
