Les Jamelles Cabernet Sauvignon Pays d’Oc 2019, France

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Other
Review Date : 18-Oct-2021
Deep, moderately full, ruby-black colour, lighter on edge. The nose is softly full, with some power, displaying aromas of cassis, plums underlying peppermint and mocha. Medium-bodied, cassis, red plums interweave blueberries aroma, followed by peppermint, a hint of vine leaves and subtle roasted coffee. The fruit is juicy and fresh, supported by balanced acidity, left a moreish linger. A light and smooth tannin grip added texture and body. This bright Cabernet Sauvignon shows varietal characters of succulent fruit, lush acidity and a velvety tannin line. Match with grilled meat and glazed ham over the next 3-4 years. Destemmed, macerated, fermented to 13.5% alc, aged in tanks for 6 months approx with a small portion of the cuvée aged in oak barrels. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Oct 2021 RRP $25
