Les Courtilles Cotes Du Rhones 2020, France

Blended Red from France - Rhone
Review Date : 25-Nov-2022
Bright, deep ruby-red, lighter on edge. The nose is full and alluring, with aromas of red berry, boysenberry, and plum melded with sweet spice and earth. Full-bodied, aromas of bramble and plum interweaved dried Provencal herbs, vanilla, liquorice and earthy nuance. The fruit is ripe with excellent acid balance; ripe and firm tannins contribute to the structure and a chewy mouthfeel. This powerful Cotes du Rhone is elegantly presented with ripe fruit and spice with great balance and structure. Match with roasted lamb and venison over the next 3-5 years. Fruit sourced from 35-year-old vines on the right bank of the Rhone between Orange and Avignon, 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 10% Carignan and 5% Mouvedre, destemmed, fermented to 14% alc. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Nov 2022 RRP $26.99
