Le Petit Mouton de Mouton-Rothschild Pauillac 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 21-Mar-2015
Second wine of Mouton-Rothschild. 68% CS, 24% Me, 8% CF Very dark, deep, black-red colour. The nose is elegant in proportion with intensity and depth, the aromatics opening in volume in the glass. Densely packed savoury black and dark-red berry fruits, blackcurrants, meat and earthy game nuances unfold in layers. This has componentry and detailed complexities that are harmoniously entwined, along with a youthful lift. A little volatility is present enhancing the fruit. Medium-full bodied, ripe, plush and sweet, fruit flavours lend a fleshy mouthfeel. This has a soft density and fine-grained tannin support, balanced by excellent acidity. The palate has an elegant core and line, unfolding ripe savoury and chocolate notes, receding to a slender finish. This is a rich and fleshy wine with excellent balance. 10+ years. 17.5+/20 Mar 2015 RRP $465.00
