Le Chat Noir Vallee de L’Aude Rosé 2012

Rose from France - Other
Review Date : 23-Oct-2013
100% Syrah from the Aude Valley, whole bunch fermented with a few hours maceration and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and dryness, the wine aged on lees. Bright, even, very pale pink colour, light on rim. The bouquet is light and restrained in fruit expression, with aromas of white stonefruits, a suggestion of red florals and berry fruits and quenching minerally reductive notes. Dry to taste and light bodied, delicate red florals show with flinty reduction characters on the palate. This is clean and crisp with soft acidity and very fine, drying textures. The mouthfeel has good vinosity and presence and the wine finishes dry. This is a crisp, clean dry rosé with good presence and flinty flavours, and a hint of red fruits. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 16.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $21.99
