Le Chat Noir Rosé 2013

Rose from France - Other
Review Date : 05-May-2014
Pale pink colour with slight purple hues, lighter on rim. The nose is soft and light with delicate, uncomplicated aromas of strawberry fruit and lifted red florals. Dry to taste and light-bodied, light fruit flavours of strawberries and florals show, forming a positive core and line. The mouthfeel is refreshingly dry, with soft acidity and a subtle phenolic texture carrying the palate to a clean, dry finish. This is a light, clean and simple dry rosé to serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 18 months. 100% Syrah from the Aude Valley, southern France, given a short maceration and tank-fermented to 12.5% alc. and dryness, the wine aged on lees with no MLF. 16.0/20 May 2014 RRP $21.99
