Lawson’s Dry Hills Marlborough Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Apr-2013
Brilliant pale lemon-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. This has a softly full, ethereal nose of limes and lemons, the aromas pure and clean. Subtle nuances of exotic tropical fruits and florals and a suggestion of toastiness unfold in the glass. Dryish to taste, delicate and deliciously soft flavours of white florals and limes are complexed by nuances of honey and a little toast. There is a gentle lusciousness allied to harmonious acidity and the mouthfeel is very refined, with an excellent linear flow. The palate leads to a long, lingering, dry finish with lemon notes. This is a delicate, fine-featured dry Riesling with beautiful citrus flavours. Serve as an aperitif, seafood and delicate Asian cuisine over the next 4-5+ years. Fruit from the company’s Waihopi Valley vineyard, cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 8.1 g/L rs. 18.5+/20 Apr 2013 RRP $19.00
