Lawson’s Dry Hills Marlborough Riesling 2008

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Apr-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with a light golden hue, this has a very fine nose with concentrated aromas of citrus fruits, minerals, floral perfumes and complexing secondary toasty notes. This is an elegant wine on palate at 12.5% alc., and off-dry with 11 g/L rs. With excellent intensity of citrus fruit, minerals, toast and smoke, the delicate sweetness is superbly balanced by racy acidity. Very fine textures provide excellent line and a long, dry finish. Fruit from Lawson's ‘Waihopi Valley' vineyard, this is a classic Marlborough Riesling beginning to develop bottle-aged interest. Drink as an aperitif and with Asian chicken dishes over the next 3-5 years. 18.5+/20 Apr 2011 RRP $19.00
