Lawson’s Dry Hills Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Nov-2011
Made from 10 y.o. 10/5 clone Pinot Noir from the company's ‘Chaytors Road' vineyard, given limited skin contact and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 7 g/L rs. Light purple-pink colour with some depth, youthful in hue. This has a fresh, deep nose of raspberries and confectionary with an attractive cherry and floral lift, some herb notes contributing to the liveliness. Dry to taste, this has bright, vibrant fruit flavours of raspberries and red cherries, along with boiled sweet notes. The palate is lively and zesty, with good levels of acidity, the wine balanced and in proportion. The wine finishes with delicately sweet red berry fruit flavours and a crisp, zingy finish with good length. Bright, fresh and with vibrant fruit, match this with salmon, tuna, cold meats and tapas over the next 2 years. 18.5-/20 Oct 2011 RRP $19.00
