Laurent-Perrier ‘Demi-Sec’ Champagne NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 13-Nov-2012
Approx. 45% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier from over 55 cru, averaging 94%, with 10-20% reserve wine. Aged at least 3 years on lees with 40 g/L dosage. Light straw-yellow colour, pale hued and with very persistent, fine bubbles. The nose is one of delicacy, purity and pristine and subtle fruit and autolysis, underscored by the faintest hints of honeysuckle. Gently sweet to taste, the subtlety and tightness of the palate is quite startling. Beautifully refined in style and very fine textured in the mouth, the sweetness provides smoothness and restrained lusciousness to balance the phenolics. Lifted florals, honeysuckle and nuances of yeast are carried on the palate, enlivened by lacy acidity, and the finish is clean and delicately rich. This may be the most refined ‘Demi-Sec' yet. 18.0+/20 Nov 2012 RRP $110.00
