Laurent-Perrier ‘Cuvée Rosé Brut’ Champagne NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 13-Nov-2012
100% Pinot Noir from 10 cru in the Montagne de Reims, aged at least 4 years with a dosage of 9 g/L. Softly full in colour with pink and peach hues, ‘eye of the partridge', and a very persistent, fine bubble. Very soft and delicate aromas of soft red berry fruits combine with steely minerals, revealing nuances of autolysis and red florals in a complex amalgam. Dry to taste, this is elegant in proportion, still tightly bound and refined in expression. Contained and slender with a firmness to the racy, steely textures, this has drive and line, and ‘puissance'. Very subtle red berry fruits and florals grow with volume and gently fill the palate with ethereal lift, blossoming to show definite red fruit flavours on the finish. This is the most refined and elegant release of ‘Cuvée Rosé' I have seen, and it will develop with grace and style over the next 4-5 years. 18.5-/20 Nov 2012 RRP $210.00
