Laurent-Perrier ‘Brut Millésimé’ Champagne 2002

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 13-Nov-2012
50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from cru in the Montagne de Reims and the Cote des Blancs. Bright, lemon-straw colour with green hues, a moderately persistent, fine bead. The bouquet is refined and intense with penetrating aromas of lifted stonefruits, citrus, and tightly bound yeasty autolysis, interwoven seamlessly and revealing detailed toasty, nutty notes. Dry to taste, the fruit opens out and blossoms with fresh, sweet white stoneftuits, citrus and florals, complexed by definite nuances of yeast and bread autolyis. There is a degree of lusciousness which makes this extremely delicious, with plenty of delicate interest and facets. The palate has beautiful proportion, balanced acid freshness, and the flavours carry with excellent line and length. This is lusciously elegant and multi-faceted. 19.0-/20 Nov 2012 RRP $160.00
